What are the Benefits of buying a stainless steel sink? Stainless steel offers a contemporary and industrial look at an affordable price. It is chip resistant, stain resistant, and easy to clean. Hot pans won’t hurt it. Stainless steel is still the most popular kitchen sink style. For those on a tight budget, stainless steel provides the lowest price point. There are so many stainless steel sinks on the market today, how do I know I’m getting a good quality sink from Pinnacle Countertop Solutions? Not all stainless steel sinks are created equal. There are three main things to look for in a stainless sink.
1.) The thicker the steel, the less susceptible it is to denting, bowing and noise transmission from silverware, pots and pans hitting the metal surface. The thickness, called “guage” can be determined by its number. The lower the number, the thicker the steel. (Gauge is an inverse measurement - 22 gauge is thinner than 20 gauge.) A thicker gauge stainless steel sink will maintain water temperature longer and has more sound deadening qualities. Thicker gauge stainless steel sinks are generally more expensive. 2.) In addition to being,16 and 18 guage thickness (accurately measured), our sinks come with a coating and a dampner on the underside to cut down on noise. We have found that not all sinks advertise a true guage measurement. You can be assured that ours measure up to the standards. 3.) Chrome increases hardness and wear resistance. Nickel increases strength and improves shock resistance. 18% chrome and 10% nickel (18/10) is the preferred content for high end stainless steel sinks. 18/10 stainless steel is completely hygienic, will not rust and will maintain its appearance much longer than lesser grade steel. Our stainless steel sinks have been tested and certified by SGS Testing Labs in the U.S.A. to be 304 type stainless steel with a minimum chromium/nickel content of 18/10. Every one of our stainless steel sinks is hand polished and has to pass 3 quality control inspections before being approved for shipment. How important is the undercoating? It's extremely important because it absorbs sound, protects against condensation and helps maintain sink water temperature. What kind of warranty does your stainless sink come with? Our stainless steel sink carries a limited lifetime warranty, to the original owner in a residential application. You can expect a lifetime of service from our stainless steel sinks. (Henceforth, the lifetime warranty) How do I care for a stainless steel sink? With proper care and maintenance you sink will maintain its luster and shine. Your Stainless Steel Sink is maintained in 3 simple steps.
